About Steve McLaughlin Photography

Testimonials and References

July 7, 2011

In 23 years of working as the media coordinator for the Mt. Washington Road Race in New Hampshire, I've looked at lots of people's shots of the race, including major news services' and pro photographers (including one Pulitzer Prize-winner) who specialize in sports photography.  Steve McLaughlin shot the race this year (2011) for the first time, and his photos are among the very best I've ever seen, in terms of catching facial expressions, panoramic shots, key moments in the race (e.g., one runner overtaking another, a runner gulping water in mid-stride, etc.).  They're not only beautifully composed but technically impeccable.  Fine stuff!

Top qualities: Great Results, Good Value, High Integrity

“At Boston University we have used Steve McLaughlin as a photographer for various sporting events since March of 2009. The quality we get back from him are second to none. We have continued to work with Steve on more events since he shot games at the America East Women's Basketball Championship. He not only gets great action shots of our athletes, but has an eye for "atmosphere" photos. Those candids really capture the moment(s) and we have used them many times for our website, media guides, promotional items, etc. If I could choose all seven attributes above I would, but I was limited to three. I can't recommend Steve enough.” August 19, 2009
