Laura Kurash '13 headed in a cross from the right side by Dasha Battelle '11 in the 104th minute to make Wesleyan a 1-0 winner at Bates Sat., Oct. 16. It was the first victory ever by the Cardinals in Lewiston, Me. as Bates stood 5-0 vs. Wesleyan on its home turf heading into the contest. Kurash netted her team-leading eighth goal of the season. She had come into the week as the top scorer in the NESCAC and now has 19 points in 10 games this year (8-3-19) for a 1.90 point-per-game average.
