NEW LONDON, Conn. - Top-seeded Mitchell College scored two runs in the eighth inning to take a 3-2 lead and held on to defeat fourth-seeded Southern Vermont College by the same margin in the title game of the 2011 New England Collegiate Conference Baseball Championship on Wednesday afternoon.
